Cognitive Stimulation Therapy Club

The Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) Club is a professional platform for regular supervision and mentoring support for specialists working with the cognitive stimulation therapy program in the practice of helping older adults.

The Club is intended for graduates of the professional development program “Cognitive Stimulation Therapy: Principles and Practical Application in Gerontology and Geriatrics” implemented at the Moscow State University of Psychology and Education (MSUPE), as well as for specialists already implementing CST in social care, healthcare, and educational institutions.

Goals of the CST Club:

  • supporting specialists in solving complex professional situations during the CST;
  • developing professional competencies of the leading CST groups;
  • building a professional community of CST practitioners;
  • collecting and analyzing typical and unique CST practice cases;
  • creating conditions for multicenter research on the CST method in the Russian Federation.

Club meetings are held in the format of group supervision and include:

  • analysis of professional cases;

  • discussion of challenges in working with CST group participants;

  • analysis of group and individual dynamics;

  • discussion of CST program adaptations;

  • exchange of practical solutions and professional experience.

Meeting format: online / in-person / hybrid
(indicated in the announcement of each meeting on CST social media)

Duration: 60–90 minutes

Frequency: once a month

Group size: 5–8 participants

Participation: free of charge, with prior registration.

Presenters and coordinators: club meetings are led by MSUPE specialists — authors and developers of CST professional development programs — as well as invited experts.
